The ceremony sets up at the waterline on a private stretch of Lara beach. Dinner happens behind it on boarded flooring laid over the sand. The boards matter, because chair legs and sand are a well-known enemy of a relaxed dinner service.

The light

From May to September the sun sets behind the aisle rather than into the guests' eyes, which is the right way round and not something every beach venue can claim. We set the ceremony at roughly ninety minutes before sunset so the vows land in the warm hour and the drinks reception carries you into the gold.

What to know before you book

The wet-weather plan here is a marquee, not a ballroom. It is a good marquee and it goes up in three hours, but if the thought of a covered wedding bothers you, Belek Garden Resort gives you a proper indoor room instead.

Lara is fifteen minutes from the airport. That is the shortest transfer of any venue we work with, and for a guest list arriving on evening flights it is worth more than it sounds.

Who it suits

Forty to a hundred and eighty guests on a Signature shape. Couples who want the beach itself rather than a view of it. If you want the beach look with a hotel behind it, compare with the other Antalya venues, and read beach, villa or historic before you commit. Sand is lovely and it has consequences.
