Çeşme Beach Deck
A wooden deck straight onto the water, best used for a late-afternoon ceremony.
A wooden deck built out over the water on the Çeşme side of the peninsula, ten minutes from Alaçatı village. The advantage over a sand ceremony is simple: chairs are level, heels work, and nothing needs boarding over.
The light and the wind
West-facing. The sun goes down into the ceremony rather than behind the guests, which produces the photograph everybody wants and requires that the timing is right to within about fifteen minutes. We set it from the actual sunset time for your date, not from a template.
The same exposure that gives you the sunset gives you the breeze. Alaçatı is a windsurfing town and there is a reason for that. From roughly two until six in the afternoon the deck is breezy; by seven it settles. This is a venue for an evening ceremony and not an afternoon one.
What to know before you book
The restaurant behind the deck is the wet-weather and wind plan, and it is a real one. Indoor, glass-fronted, same view.
A hundred and twenty is the deck limit and it assumes the dinner moves inside or onto the terrace. The deck itself is a ceremony and drinks space, not a dining room.
Who it suits
