We hold rooms under your name at a negotiated rate and give you a link. Guests book and pay directly, so their money stays out of your budget and their cancellations stay out of your problem. Almost never, and we design around that. Airport transfers run in arrival waves, and on the wedding day a shuttle runs a loop between hotel and venue rather than a fixed schedule. In walkable places like Alaçatı and Kaş there is no transport at all.

Yes. A civil marriage performed by a Turkish registrar is recognised across the EU, the UK and most other countries. You receive an international marriage certificate (the multilingual extract known as formule B), which is accepted directly by most institutions without further legalisation. Requirements for reporting the marriage at home vary slightly by country; the country guides say what yours needs.

A legal ceremony is performed by a Turkish state registrar and requires the full document set for your country. A symbolic ceremony is identical in every visible way (celebrant, vows, rings, readings, a register your guests sign) but carries no legal weight, so it requires no documents at all. Four to eight weeks depending on your country, and the clock starts at your own register office rather than with us. The UK and Ireland run four to six weeks, the Netherlands five to seven, Germany six to eight because files are frequently referred to the Oberlandesgericht. Start ten weeks before your date so one delay does not move the wedding.

An apostille is a standardised certificate that confirms a public document is genuine, issued by a designated authority in the country the document came from. Türkiye is party to the Hague Convention, so documents from other member states need an apostille rather than full embassy legalisation. You need one on every document going to a Turkish registrar. We do. Turkish registry offices accept translations produced by a sworn translator and notarised in Türkiye, which means it has to happen here rather than at home. You post the apostilled originals to us once and we handle translation, notarisation, the health report appointment and the registry booking.

There is no residency requirement, but you do need to be here to attend the health appointment and lodge documents at the registry office. Three working days before the ceremony is comfortable. Two is possible and leaves no margin.

Not legally. A Turkish registrar conducts civil marriages at the registry office. A ceremony at a private villa, on a yacht or on a cliff terrace is symbolic. That is not a limitation in practice: sign at home, hold the ceremony where you want it, and the day is identical.

You need the decree absolute, final divorce judgment or death certificate, apostilled and translated, in addition to the standard set. It adds a document rather than a stage. Where the previous marriage was abroad, allow extra time. This is a common reason for a file being referred for review at home.

Because any number we published would be wrong for most couples. Two weddings with the same guest count in the same month can differ enormously depending on region, venue, day of the week and what you actually want. It depends on the region, the month, the venue and, most of all, how many people you bring. What we can tell you is the structure: food, drink and guest logistics move with the guest list, while venue hire, photography, music and styling are largely fixed. No. The number on the quote you approve is the number. If you add something during planning it appears as a new named line and you approve it before it is booked. Nothing appears on the final invoice that you have not already seen.

Euros or pounds, whichever suits you, and the quote is fixed in that currency. You are not exposed to the lira exchange rate between booking and the wedding. That risk sits with us, which is the correct place for it.

For most northern European couples, substantially — but the honest comparison is not the headline. You are also asking your guests to buy a flight and several nights of accommodation, which is a real cost even though it does not appear on your invoice. We set the two side by side here.

Nine to twelve months for a wedding of fifty or more, and the reason is your guests rather than the venue. Flights bought eight months ahead cost a fraction of flights bought three months ahead, and across sixty guests that difference outweighs most line items in the wedding. Elopements and small ceremonies are comfortable at eight to ten weeks.

At almost every venue, yes, and it varies: midnight at village hotels with neighbours, half past midnight on the Bosphorus, one o'clock at most resorts, two at the Bodrum beach clubs, and none at all at the farm venues with nobody within earshot. On private hotel beaches and licensed beach clubs, yes. On protected beaches such as the Ölüdeniz lagoon, no, because they are nature parks with no exclusive hire. In those places the ceremony happens on a terrace above, which is usually the better photograph anyway.

Every venue we work with, yes, but they are not equal. Some have a ballroom of the same quality as the lawn; some have a marquee that goes up in three hours; one has a stone building that seats sixty and needs a marquee above that. Which yours has is on the venue page and in your run sheet.

Villas and farm venues, always. Boutique hotels, usually, if you take all the rooms. Large resorts, no. They have other guests, which is also why they have the earlier music curfew. Exclusive use is worth asking about at the first call because it changes both the shortlist and the shape of the day.
