Why that matters
A British couple living in Dubai needs a UK Certificate of No Impediment, apostilled by the FCDO. The UK page applies to them, not this one. An Indian couple in Abu Dhabi follows the Indian consular route. A UAE national follows a different one again.
What UAE residency changes is *where* you can obtain those documents. Most consulates in the UAE will issue a certificate of no impediment to their own nationals, which saves a trip home. Whether it then needs an apostille or an embassy attestation depends on whether your country is party to the Hague Convention.

The route most Gulf couples take
Legal marriage completed at home or in the UAE, then a full celebration here with no Turkish paperwork at all. For a multi-day celebration with two hundred guests, adding a registry appointment to the schedule serves nobody.
Sequencing a nikah
This is the single most common avoidable problem in a Gulf wedding here, and it is entirely a matter of order.
If the legal marriage has already happened, the nikah can sit wherever you want it in the programme, typically the Friday afternoon, before the Saturday reception. If the legal marriage is happening in Türkiye, the civil ceremony and the nikah have to be sequenced deliberately, and the imam needs to know which is which.
Decide it at the first call, not in the last month.
Catering and privacy
Halal kitchens run as parallel lines at every venue we put in front of Gulf families, written into the contract rather than assumed. Privacy (a venue with no public access on the day, a separate quiet room, control over photography) is available and it narrows the venue list, which is why we ask about it early. Bodrum and İstanbul handle it best.

Bodrum for privacy and for the look. İstanbul when the guest list is arriving from three continents and İstanbul Airport removes a connection for most of them. Belek above two hundred guests, because it is the only region that houses that number in one building.
